Forgotten God: Facing My Fears

Have You Forgotten?

For much of Western Christianity, the church has embraced a theology of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Bible.

Unfortunately, that theology leaves out the third person of the Trinity, namely, Holy Spirit. Our church, along with every church, needs to renew our awareness of and relationship to the Holy Spirit! Pentecost arrives on Sunday, June 4, and we don't want to miss out on all that the Holy Spirit wants to do in and through us! On the way to embracing HIM as the third part of the trinity, we're going to have to face our fears. This past Sunday, we talked about a few of them:

  1. What if I pray and nothing happens?
  2. Do I REALLY want this?
  3. Is my reputation in the way?
  4. Good Fears (Checks and Balances)

As you consider your own spiritual journey, I encourage you to prayerfully consider whether you are open to an UPGRADE in the Spirit during this season of Life? Are you open to MORE of God in your life? Are you open to NEW realities and understandings? Are you willing to lay down what others think of you so that you can pick up what God is thinking of you?

It is going to be a challenging six weeks, and I believe we'll all be changed as we open up to the "Forgotten God" - The Holy Spirit - in new ways.

Have a Blessed Week:

Pastor Kevin
