Do you mind what you mind?
Are you thinking about what your thinking about?
When was the last time you took inventory of the thoughts you've had and dwelt on over a given day?
Your thought life is critical in understanding why you do what you do, and how you're going to get to the "next level" with God or in any area of life.
If you missed the message Sunday, you can view it below or listen online here.
Here are three points to consider in regard to the health of your thought life or "inner man".
- You need to start "setting" instead of just "sitting" when it comes to your thoughts. CHOOSE what you're going to dwell on. Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your mind on things above". It is an ACTIVE role we have in our growing toward God and being transformed.
- You need to get set free from destructive thinking in your mind. Each of us is battling against strongholds (wrong/errant thinking), false beliefs ("I'll never amount to anything") and the never-ending attacks of the enemy. 2 Cor 2:11 encourages us not to be unaware of Satan's schemes, and 2 Cor. 10:4 tells us that we have "weapons" that "demolish strongholds" and enable us to take EVERY thought captive and to make our thoughts obedient to Jesus Christ.
- All of us need to Re-train and RE-focus our minds. In doing so, we need to become people who think about JESUS, think about OTHERS, and who think about ETERNITY. If we were to spend more time thinking on these three, we would be winning the battle for our mind and truly would be transformed in the inner part of who we are.
I pray today, that you will experience the renewing and refreshing of God as you continue to pursue a TRANSFORMED life.
