God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.                                           Acts 19:11-12
Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. 19And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.                              Acts 19:18-20

This past Sunday, we looked at the account in Acts 19 concerning the extraordinary miracles that God was doing through Paul. Sometimes we tend to look with awe and wonder at the miracles we see happening in the Bible, but seldom do we pause to consider what it took to get into a place of seeing and receiving the same today.

We looked at Paul's own words about his ministry. When you get a chance, review 2 Corinthians 11:21-30 and 2 Corinthians 4.  There we find the personal cost which Paul paid so that he could be used of God in these powerful ways. Alternately, take a look at Acts 19:18-19 to discover the genuine response when one meets and knows the almighty God who does miracles.

Perhaps when we say that we "want a miracle". That is all we're asking for. But, as for me, and for the many of you who agreed on Sunday, we are pursuing the REAL! We want genuine power and the presence of God. We are longing for miracles and changed lives because God showed up!

How are you seeking Him and repenting this week? What is God showing you that is in the way of a great move He wants to do? How are you responding?

Pre-Service Prayer every Sunday at 10:00 AM

My heart longs to see and know Jesus more and more. I know that many of you long for the same. Would you consider joining us on Sundays at 10:00 AM to cry out to God? Would you come and be a part of preparing our hearts and the hearts of all who come? Would you agree and believe that God wants to move and do miracles today? Let's press toward Him and anticipate what He is going to show us, and how He is going to move in us and through us for HIS glory.

Blessings,
Pastor Kevin Strite
