Celebrating Ministry, Celebrating Life... (Your chance to tell your story)

Where is Jesus at work?

We are the church, the body of Christ, Where is His Ministry, where is His Life?

The ProofWe asked that question on Sunday as we focused on the "Proof" of Jesus' ministry. Jesus response when asked if he was "the one" or should we wait for another, was to point to what John's disciples could SEE and HEAR.

When Jesus is active in a person, in a family, in a church, in a community ... there is ALWAYS tangible proof of his presence. Jesus didn't come to simply teach (although he certainly did that, and we will look at some of his teaching between now and Easter), but he came to TRANSFORM lives. He came to the world right where they were, met them in their need, and brought the following signs as proof of his Messianic Ministry:

And He answered and said to them,  "Go and report to John what you have seen and heard:  the blind receive sight, the lame walk,  the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have the gospel preached to them . Luke 7:22 (NASB)

During the message, I tried to stir us toward thinking ... "Where is HIS ministry proved in my own life"? Where do others see the evidence of the Life of Jesus in me? In my family? In my daily walk?

Already, I have heard from some of you. The Lord was reminding you of HIS MINISTRY which has been active in your life. Some of you recalled HIS LIFE which brought hope in a desperate circumstance. And some of you are seeing HIM and HIS word bring hope and life in your struggles right now.

Will you share it with the church?

My question for you is this. What can/will you share with the church as a testimony of HIS MINISTRY ... as a testimony of HIS LIFE? If you have a specific testimony, I would love to hear it. Then, I would like to invite you to share with the church the ways God is currently, or has in the past been, active in you, in your family, in your church, in your daily interactions. Will you share it with us? We'd love to hear and celebrate with you.

Take a moment now to email your thoughts to testimonies@newlifesv.org, or call the office 801-0085 and get the ball rolling (leave a message if no one answers).

You never know who needs to hear the testimony you have to share. Someone else may be waiting to have their faith built by your own testimony. Will you share?
