On Sunday we looked at Galatians 4:4 which tells us that God sent the long-awaited savior/redeemer at just the right time. God's timing is always perfect and God's answers are always true! As I was reading in Psalms this morning, I was struck by the following verses which speak of some of the promises we can always hold on to. Perhaps they will be of encouragement to someone:
"God ’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness. God keeps an eye on his friends, his ears pick up every moan and groan. Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time." Psalm 34:7-9, 15, 17-19 MSG
What are the promises you are holding on to? Where is the waiting most difficult for you? Who is praying/believing with you?
Remember, when you look at the Christmas lights, see the baby in a manger, hear the Christmas songs this year, each one is an answer to the question, "Does God keep his promises?" Christmas tells us the answer to that question is always a resounding "YES!"
Hold fast to your faith in Jesus and wait for HIS timing to fulfill HIS promises to you and your household. God is faithful!
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)
