Drawing Circles or Drawing Blanks?

fb_profile_Circle_360_When was the last time you prayed a prayer that ONLY GOD could answer? How far into your own future have you dared to dream?

What are the promises you are holding onto as you pray for people, or circumstances in your life?

These are some of the questions we will continue to unpack as we continue our series on "The Circle Maker". On Sunday, I asked you to be praying this week about who or what you need to be praying circles around. As you go through the week, find time to sit as a family and draw out of your kids what they are praying for. What IS your Jericho?

Last evening, our family met for a short time to discuss what we're praying for in the coming year. As an aside, we also reviewed the list we had made for 2012. It was exciting to see the answers God gave as we made the list for this year. The list has HUGE things on it, and it has "LITTLE" things. The issue isn't how many, or how big the dreams are, but simply, have we written them down? I encourage you to make some time to write down your prayers.

40 Day Prayer Experiment

Draw the CircleOn Wednesday of this coming week, we will launch together into our 40 day prayer experiment. What would happen if everyone was praying everyday for every request that we have on our hearts? How will God choose to move if we'll just make it a priority to spend time with him in prayer? One thing we can not do is to pray with answers to prayer as our only goal! Rather, our prayers are focused on opening ourselves up to God so that, in our prayer life, we get to know Him more. It should be exciting. I look forward to how God is going to continue moving in our families and in our ministries as we seek him intentionally for these 40 days.

This Sunday we will have a resource available for each of your households. Please be sure to pick up your copy of "Draw the Circle". If you cannot be there on Sunday, you can arrange to pick it up at the office by calling Rita at 801-0085.
